GRSites Tutorials: Texture Selector
Using the GRSites Texture Selector
  1. Selected Background Texture: this is the currently selected texture. Since textures are usually small images that repeat over and over, you normally select "Tile the texture across area", but if the image is large and non-repeating, you may need to select "Stretch the texture to fit area".

  2. My Textures: here is a list of textures you have previously used. You can pick one from the list. You can click the X to remove a texture from this list.

  3. Preview: a preview of the currently selected texture. Uncheck the field below to see the texture only once, without the repeating tile effect.

  4. Customize this texture: clicking here brings up a popup window where you can make modifications to the texture, such as changing the color, size, contrast, etc. When finished, press the "Add to My Textures" button and close the popup window with the X in the upper right. The modified texture appears in 2/3.

  5. Browse for a texture: this brings up a popup window letting you browse the textures in the GRSites archive. Select one, press the "Add to My Textures" button and close the popup window. The texture appears in 2/3.

  6. Design a texture: this brings up a popup window where you can design a new texture. When done, press the "Add to My Textures" button and close the popup window. The texture appears in 2/3.

  7. Fetch a texture: enter the URL address of a background texture image on another web site. If successful, the texture appears in 2/3.

  8. Upload a texture: click browse and select a background texture image on your computer. Click open and the texture appears in 2/3.
